We stayed at the Bridgewater Hall Bed and Breakfast in  NC for two nights in May 2011.

The B&B is very nice but the owner, David Stevenson, made our stay special.  It was like staying with friends.

David played the piano the first evening.  The second day, Judy and I went to a wine tasting festival.

Later in the day we met and had dinner with some other guests, Linda and Gary Brookshire.

Following dinner, we sat on the front porch with the Brookshires until it got dark and then, at David's

invitation, we joined him and some of his friends in the courtyard in front of a roaring fire.  A very special night.

View from the front porch. Judy and I enjoyed sitting on the porch and listening to the birds and the Cabawba River.

If you look close at the center of the photo above you will see the top of a gazebo down by the river.

The many flowers around the grounds are colorful and beautiful.

Sace on the left, short for Versace, runs the house but David on the right is the wonderful cook and host.

David is also an interior decorator and has beautifully preserved the character of this home.

As I mentioned, David played the piano and let us listen.  He also has very good taste in choosing wine.

Nothing says welcome at a B&B like a nice glass of wine.

Judy and I truly had a wonderful stay.  Thank you David for preserving and sharing your home.

Remember, you and Sace have an open invitation to visit us in TN and share our wine.
